This session was going to be a chance to discuss key areas of policy with senior civil servants in government, but due to the ongoing coalition negotiations no members of the civil service are able to join us. Instead, we will discuss what you think about how policy can be shaped to help social entrepreneurs flourish in communities, and tender for public service contracts, under the assured chairmanship of Dominic Campbell from Futuregov. Depending on whether a firm decision has been made by parties at this time, we may also speculate on what the different variations of coalition might mean for social entrepreneurs. Topics may include how we respond to economic conditions, issue based responses rather then silos, the role of umbrella organisations and ideas around a social enterprise bank.
